Tonopah, Nevada - A Piece Of World War II History
Near the end of one of our photography excursions in Nevada, we unexpectedly came across this beautiful structure that we found out later used to be a World War II airplane hangar. In fact, there was more than one of these hangars on this property, but this one definitely caught our eye with its massive wooden construction that stands so proudly amongst the vast desert landscape. Not sure how long this building will last, but we do feel incredibly lucky to come across it! What do you think of this airplane hangar? Have you visited any places that played a role in World War II? Leave a comment…we would love to hear what you think!
